Thermal Oil Heater overview
A thermal oil heater (thermal oil boiler) heats heat transfer oil inside coiled tubes, carrying high temperatures at low pressure. Since it does not need the high pressure steam would require to reach the same temperature, it is a safe solution for presses, calenders, drying ovens and reactor heating.
Yalım Kazan engineers its thermal oil heaters as a complete system together with the expansion tank, circulation pump and safety equipment.
High temperature, low pressure
Temperatures up to 300 °C, with simpler piping than steam systems.
No water treatment needed
No scaling or corrosion issues and no blowdown losses.
Precise temperature control
Stable process temperature within about ±2 °C.
No freezing risk
No freezing problems during shutdowns in winter.

Frequently asked questions
Should I choose thermal oil or steam?
If the process requires temperatures above 180 °C and steam itself is not needed, thermal oil is generally more economical and safer.
How often is thermal oil replaced?
It depends on oil analysis, but with regular maintenance it can be used for many years; we recommend an annual sample analysis.
