Economizer overview
An economizer is a heat exchanger that uses the heat of the hot gases leaving the boiler stack to preheat the boiler feedwater. Flue gas temperature drops, boiler efficiency rises and fuel consumption falls.
It can also be fitted to your existing steam boilers; we design plain tube, finned tube or condensing economizers according to flue gas flow rate and temperature.
Fast payback
Usually pays for itself within 1-2 years.
Fits existing boilers
Easy integration into the flue line.
Stainless steel option
Corrosion resistance in condensing economizers.
Bypass
Flue bypass damper for maintenance.

Frequently asked questions
How much does an economizer save?
Standard economizers achieve fuel savings of about 5-8%, and condensing economizers up to 15-20%. We calculate the exact figure with a flue gas measurement.
